Visit the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market Saturday, June 13th at 19th and Buddy Holly Ave from 9:00AM to 1:00PM for a taste of downtown Lubbock, and the finest in local produce, meat, baked goods and arts. We are a kid friendly, dog friendly, family event in the heart of the Depot District. The market will be held every Saturday morning through October 17th.

June 6^th Market Review

Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market had it’s second market in the 2020 season this past Saturday, June 6th with beautiful weather, produce to buy, and food trucks offering amazing food and beverages. It was a busy morning as the crowd quickly grew. There were around 40 vendors at this market with new vendors making their first appearance and old ones coming back.

With COVID-19 still being a scare, LDFM has set up sanitizing stations, given guidelines to navigate the market at safe distances, and encourages guest to say home if they feel they may have symptoms. We are excited for the new LDFM season, as are the vendors! We have many vendors returning, as well as many new ones. Some of our vendors have expanded what they are offering as well.

While a lot of the produce is not ready just yet, we still had squashes, melons, root veggies, Spinach, Spring Mix, Arugula, Baby Kale, Dill, Parsley, Rosemary, Mint, Rainbow Mix, Radish Shoots, Micro Cilantro, Sunflower Shoots, Fava Bean Shoots, Pea Shoots, Green Onions, Green Garlic, Fresh Shallots, Garlic Scapes, Radishes, Mushrooms and more. The further into the season we get, the more vendors will have!  More sweets are available as well like macaroons and fried pies!

LDFM loves arts & crafts, and we have some great vendors who do as well. We had a new stand selling art kits, woodworking, handmade potholders, and more. We also were honored with a visit from Paul Bullock to sell copies of his kids book The Big, Big Man and the Tiny Little Mouse.

The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market provides a family friendly environment and offers a safe, exciting atmosphere in downtown Lubbock. We are also very dog friendly for our well behaved, leashed four-legged visitors. Many of our vendors provide dog bowls to keep your fur babies well hydrated. Congratulations to Scout! (pictured below). She is our Tornado Industrial/Arts ‘Dog of the Day!’ The DOTD is selected at random every Saturday during the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market!
