Taste of the Market
Thanks to Growing Together Texas, Sustainable Food Center WTX Food Access, and most importantly, Texas A&M’s AgriLife Extension, we will have Master Wellness Volunteer, Temi Ibiyemi offering this week’s Taste of the Market! Temi will demonstrate a recipe using ingredients purchased from our local farmers and food producers right here at the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market!
Also, Sustainable Food Center will be offering mini Sno Cones donated by Bahama Bucks to celebrate the launch of our Double Up Food Bucks program! We will start serving Sno cones at the market info booth around 10:30am until our supply runs out. Did you know that the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market now accepts SNAP Benefits and with our new Double Up Food Bucks Program, customers who use their SNAP Benefits to buy any SNAP eligible food at the market will receive a dollar for dollar match (up to $30/day) for the purchase of local fruits and veggies!
