Visit the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday June 15th from 9:00 Am to 1:00 PM at 5th Street & Ave. J.
KID’S CORNER: We will have a Market Scavenger Hunt for the first 50 kids, 12 and under. Kids can come by Kids Corner from 9:00-11:00 to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet. The kids will visit the market to identify different types of items found at our market-example- different produce, art/craft materials, foods. They will collect stickers on their scavenger hunt sheet. Completed hunt papers can be turned in for a small treat bag and $2 Market Bucks that they can spend at this market.

Acting Through Improvisation

Whether you want to become a professional actor/improviser, develop your own content and characters, or gain more confidence in public speaking, Intro to Improvisation is for you! Step out of your comfort zone and learn to say “yes and” to endless possibilities.
During the session attendees will:
- Practice letting the scene and their scene partners inform their character impulses
- Work on establishing a collaborative scene
- Incorporate music and other environmental factors into character development
- Train impulses by listening and responding
- Explore using physicality in scene work
Learn how to let go of your inhibitions while challenging yourself in a fun environment! Ages 15+, Saturday session offered for free as part of Weekends at LHUCA.

The 806 Block is hosted by the artists of 806 Collective to bring together local Lubbock artists for an opportunity to display and sell to the Lubbock public.
We will have a band this time! This is intended to be a monthly Saturday Market and will happen on the Saturday a week after First Friday each month through October.
We plan to have over a dozen local artists joining the work studios
