At this market Sustainable Food Center is partnering with Growing Together Texas to provide 30 pre-packed grocery bags, filled with local produce for $30 , that can be purchased by anyone using cash, SNAP, Double Food Bucks, or WIC Vouchers. Stop by the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday to purchase your locally grown produce bag while supplies last!
Sustainable Food Center will be at the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market this weekend to share another Probadita from The Happy Kitchen/La Cocina Alegre cookbook.
A Probadita translates to ‘a small taste’ and features a taste of the market using locally grown produce and locally sourced goods from West Texas vendors at the market.
Featured VENDORS for the October 18th MARKET includes;
Block 20 Produce – Tomatoes, creamed honey, jelly, and canned goods.
Faith 2 Farm Market Garden – tomatoes, summer squash, butternut squash, a variety of peppers, eggplants, a few canned goods.
Aileen Thiel Everett Sunburst Market – Canned goods, Tomatoes, okra, Cantaloupe, potatoes, pumpkins, blackeyes greenbeans, vanilla, molasses, syrup, honey handmade Christian iron work and more.
Bell Rancho Beef – strip steaks, sirloin steaks, skirt steak, roasts and ground beef!
Forbes Family Backyard Farm – Raw Honey, Sweet Potatoes, Yellow Onions, Peppers
A Touch of Etxeko -Homemade, small batch, all natural tallow based skin care products.
Dogma’s Den -Ceramics
Blueheartcrochet – Crochet plushies and other crochet related items
Nonchi’s Bakery And – Baked goods, possibly some hand crafted items like Halloween shirts
KJ’s Paracord – Handmade paracord bracelets, necklaces, and a varied assortment of accessories. I have a new stash of kid’s bracelets and backpack decorations. Also, custom orders – please meet up with me at my booth! Your orders are ready for pickup!!
