Visit the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market this Saturday May 31st from 9:00 Am to 1:00 PM at 5th Street & Ave. J. At our first market this season we will have a number of special events to celebrate the start of the 2025 market season. In cooperation with our Nutrition Assistance partner, Sustainable Food Center, we will have our first “Double Up Food Bucks Texas Bonus Day” SNAP benefits matching event! On May 31, every $1 spent with SNAP Benefits (up to $30) will be matched by $5 in Double Up Food Bucks! That means families can get up to $150 in Double Up Food Bucks to use for fresh, local produce at LDFM.
On Bonus Day SFC will also offer recipe samplings, free activities, and giveaways, including; Farmers Market Scavenger Hunt with prizes sourced from local businesses, an appearance with Bluey!, pony rides, chalk art and other special activities. We hope to see you at our first market of the 2025 season
