June 1st 2019 Farmers Market

The first Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market for the 2019 season will be held Saturday morning June 1st from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 19th & Buddy Holly.

The Annual Spring  market was a lot of fun. There were around 35 vendors in total. Which include the best of local agricultural producers and vendor offerings of fresh meats, cheese, dairy products, baked goods, and arts & crafts from local artisans.

Our collection of local agriculture producers  from vendors including Onion Shed Farms, E3 Farms. Wild Rabbit Farms, and more were selling fresh early season produce. Products in season that were offered by these vendors were Squash, Onions, Fresh Eggs, Micro Greens, Spring Mix, Spinach, Kale, Chard, Carrots and Mushrooms! Expect an even larger variety of local produce and food options as the season progresses and more produce is harvested!

The large number of guests attending this market were well fed at the LDFM Food Court. We had prepared food offerings and sweets from Hub City Food Truck’s; Anderson’s Grill,  La Picosita, Jordan’s Fruit Stand, Bella J’s Gelato and More. There were also plenty of cold and hot beverage choices from The Stand, Golden Stripe Coffee, and The Coffee Can,  And don’t Forget all of the fresh baked goods and sweets from vendors such as Amor Cocoa, Macaroons and Sarita’s Organic Tortilla’s organic dessert empanadas and churro cookies. A dining area was provided by The Garden.

The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market provides a family friendly environment and offers a safe, exciting environment in downtown Lubbock. We are also very dog friendly for our well behaved, leashed four-legged visitors. Many of our vendors provide dog bowls to keep your fur babies well hydrated. Our vendor, Sweet Pup Treats sell fresh made doggy treats! Each week we take a photo of the Dog of The Day sponsored by The Tornado Gallery. May 11th’s Dog of the Day is Bo! He’s a good boy. Visit the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market Saturday, June 1st at 19th and Buddy Holly Ave from 9:00AM to 1:00PM for a taste of downtown Lubbock, and the finest in local produce, meat, dairy, cheese. baked goods and arts. We are a kid friendly, dog friendly, family event in the heart of the Depot District. The market will be held every Saturday morning from June 1st through October 19th. We hope to see you this season!
