September 25th Market Review
The market reviews by Paul Bullock and Mary Gates will resume next week. Paul and Mary had a booth at Literacy Lubbock’s Book Festival on Saturday. They had a great day selling Paul’s children books, ball caps, t-shirts and other new merchandise. Paul also presented his new children’s book “Skinny Katie and her Potbelly Pig Named Sadie”. Be sure to visit Paul’s booth next week at the market and check out his new book!
We had a great market on September 25th. The weather was very Fall-like and provided a very comfortable shopping environment. Although the market was competing with the Texas Tech vs UT football game in Austin and the first weekend of the South Plains Fair, there were a good number of vendors and shoppers buying locally grown fresh Fall produce, great baked goods & prepared foods, and a large collection of arts & crafts, jewelry, & fine art from local artisans!
As usual there were plenty of children and four-legged guests at the market. This little cutie pictured above is Honey. She was Saturday’s Tornado Industrial/Arts Dog of the Day! Congrats Honey!
There are only three remaining markets in the 2021 market season. So come downtown next Saturday and visit the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market from 9:00AM to 1:00PM at 19th Street and Buddy Holly Ave. The Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market is the original and still the best market for locally grown produce!
