LOCAL PRODUCE BAGS – Come by the September 19th market to get a produce bag! These bags are provided by LBK Grown and Sustainable Food Center. These bags are available for sale to the general public, but are also eligible for SNAP, Double Up Food Bucks, and WIC FMNP voucher recipients. Get here early for there are limited supplies of this great local produce offering
Sustainable Food Center will be at the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market this weekend to share another Probadita from The Happy Kitchen/La Cocina Alegre cookbook.
A Probadita translates to ‘a small taste’ and features a taste of the market using locally grown produce and locally sourced goods from West Texas vendors at the market.
Join us for a Probadita and cooking demonstration this Saturday, September 19th, from 9 AM to 1 PM
BAKE SALE: Noah Meek from Emerald House & Joanna Tivis from Jo’s Doughlights Bread & Bakes are the featured bakers for this week’s Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market. They will be selling Organic Sourdough, Pumpkin Spice Sourdough, Brownies, Cinnamon Rolls, Pumpkin Pie Thumbprints, Macarons and other bake goods at this market. Come stock up on gourmet bake goods at the LDFM on the LHUCA Plaza this Saturday!
